Class had been boring the past few days. With LKK-sensei out sick there hadn’t been much to do. The substitute that had been assigned to the Ghost Hunt class wasn’t working out. The first day was a train wreck mostly because the sub had a hard telling Noll and Gene apart. After about 30 minutes, the sub gave up and just said this would be a study hall until Sensei returned. So today was a pure study session.

Yami was fine with this; it gave her time to work on her little fanfict. In front of her, Honey, Rune, Jenx and Sage had pulled all their desks together. Honey was describing something to Rune who was drawing it as close to Honey’s specifications as possible.

“No! No! They need to be bigger!” Honey kept saying. Jenx just laughed as Rune drew.

Yami really didn’t want to know what was going through Honey’s mind right now. Sage was reading manga with another hot bishie on the cover. Yami reminded herself to ask Sage who it was after class.

Next to Yami, Aki also sat working on her fanfict. Both of them had been tossing ideas back and forth about their respective ficts. Yami still wasn’t sure how her’s was going to end. She was about to ask Aki for advice when she felt something hit the back of her head. Turning around she noticed a folded note laying on her desk and Honey snickering.

Oh great. Yami thought. She decided to ignore it.

“Isn’t she gonna open it?” Honey whispered impatiently.

“Don’t worry, she will.” Rune smiled.

Yami looked back at the note. Gah, why am I like this, she thought as she unfolded the paper. Written on the paper was…

NARU LOOKS LIKE A GIRL!!!

Closing her eyes for a second, Yami wrote back on the paper and whipped it back at Honey.

“No throwing in class!” The substitute said from behind the desk.

“Sorry.” Yami muttered as Honey, Rune, Jenx and Sage tried to hide their giggling.

“Ignore them.” Aki said without looking up from her writing.

“What did it say?” Sapphi tapped Yami on the back, “Me and Sayu want to know.” Yami told the two girls who just giggled. “What did you write back?”

“I told her she sounded like Trig.” Yami turned back around just as another note bounced off her head onto the desk. This time Honey couldn’t keep her laughing under control.

“Quiet!!” The substitute glared at Honey.

“S.s.s..orr.y.” Honey was still laughing too hard to make a decent apology.

Sighing, Yami looked down at the note and then back at the four people in front of her.

“I’m not gonna open it.

“Yes you will.” Rune replied.

Yami glared at the fan artist. Course Rune was right, Yami could not contain her curiosity. She slowly unfolded the note. She stared at it for about 15 seconds.

Sapphi and Sayu tried their best to lean over to Yami’s desk to see what was on the paper. However right as Sapphi was about to get a decent look, Yami ripped the paper into several pieces and whipped them back at Honey, who retaliated by crumbling up her own paper. Yami was able to dodge one but several hit Aki’s desk.

“Honey quit it!!” Aki exclaimed.

“What!” Honey acted surprised as she and Yami continued there little paper fight.

“ENOUGH!” The sub yelled from behind the desk.

“She started it!” Yami and Honey said in unison as they pointed at each other.

“Both of you, detention tomorrow!” The sub glared at the two girls. “Now this is a study period so no more talking.”

Yami rested her head in her hand.

“Sorry Yami.” She heard Sapphi say from behind her.

The rest of the period was quiet except for a few giggles from the four in front. Yami did her best to ignore them. When the bell rang, Honey caught up to Yami as they walked into the hall.

“I can’t believe you got me detention.” Yami frowned. Honey just laughed.

“NEJI!!” Honey screamed but Neji had seen Honey and took off running down the hallway.  “Get back here!  I need to smack you with my yaoi paddle!!”  Honey raced after him.

Yami just watched them as Dest walked up to her. 

“She scares me.”  Dest said smiling.

“Told you to ignore them.”  Aki smiled as she passed Yami.

“What was on the paper!!”  Sapphi and Sayu both chimmed with eager looks.

“Don’t ask! Gah, I hope Sensei is back tomorrow.”

“What happened?”  Dest asked.

As Yami was about to relate the story, Dai went running past followed closely by Yuka.

“YAMI!!! HELP ME!!” He yelled passing her.

“NO! Yami-nee-chawn isn’t gonna help you!!  Now get back here!!  I have the peeler and D has the salad dressing!!”  Yuka screamed as she barreled down on Dai.

“I changed my mind.”  Dest said after Yuka was out of sight.  “She scares me more then Sempai.”

“Agreed.  Here I’ll tell you about class at lunch, let’s go.”
